Class of 2021 EOY Trip to Animal Kingdom 5/22
Congratulations!!! You are invited to attend the 11th Grade end-of-the-year trip to Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Orlando, Florida. This is an exciting opportunity to spend time with fellow students and celebrate the end of your junior year in high school!
The trip will take place on Friday May 22, 2020. The cost of the trip is $165.00 per student. This price includes: transportation, admission to the park, and one meal ticket.
Payment: A nonrefundable down payment of $85 must be paid no later than Friday, March 6, 2020 with the parent permission slip. Please pay on the school website, search for the Class of 2021 on the school website and it will take you to the payment page. The remainder of the payment ($80.00) must be submitted by Friday, April 10, 2020. Or you can pay the full amount at once by April 10, 2020. Spots are limited and will be allotted on a first come, first served basis. You MUST complete BOTH of the attached forms and turn them in to Miss T. Smith before April 10th as well in order to go on this trip. Students who pay but do not turn in the permission slip forms will NOT be permitted to go on the trip. You may bring the forms to the front office to be put in Miss T. Smith’s mailbox.
Expectations: On our trip you will be representing both SAC and PBC school district. It is expected that you behave in an exemplary manner and dress appropriately with the Somerset 11th grade class t-shirt, PE shirt, or Somerset Polo shirt and knee-length shorts or long pants. Students will be required to check in with their chaperone throughout the day. Students committing any unlawful act will be detained by park police until parent(s) pick them up at the park in Orlando, FL.
Transportation: It is extremely important that you be at school no later than 5:25 a.m. on Friday May 22, 2020. It is equally important that someone is waiting for you at school at 10:30p.m. to transport you home. It is intended that our departure be prompt and our return be punctual. Eating is not permitted on the bus. The bus might NOT stop in route for restroom use, plan accordingly.
Meals/Refreshments: It is not permitted to bring food into the park. You will receive one meal ticket for lunch and should bring additional money for all other meals/refreshments to be purchased at concessionary establishments.
You must maintain your eligibility to attend the field trip by maintaining passing grades of a 2.0 GPA and exhibiting appropriate school behavior (no suspensions!). A refund WILL NOT be given if you lose eligibility due to failing grades or inappropriate behavior. Also, once the tickets have been purchased for the park, no refunds will be given for any reason. In the event that you are unable to go on the trip after the tickets are purchased, you will be given your tickets to use on a later date.
